Hi Adam, Robin, Steve and Jonathan 👋

Who I am?

My name is Kevin, I'm 35, I live in Forgues in the countryside near Toulouse in France. I'm sure you heard about Toulouse before, need a hint it's the pink city ;)
I'm married, we have 2 little kids and a buuunnnch of animals. A non exhaustive list horses, chickens, cats, dog.

Just a quick note, I will be available starting the first of July. I promised a friend to replace someone taking parental leave in June. It's to supervise students at EPITECH Toulouse.

A bit on my background?

During my college years I built little game in basic with a friend, from idea to modeling 3D object and building it. Then play a bit at them.
First time I was coding and I liked it! Then time flies.

I started playing with Javascript in 2011 and soon after with Dart in 2012, then participate to :
- AngularDart development this version was before the one in Typescript. Cannot found the repos seems it disappeared :/
- Added support for push notification to the firebase-dart package
- Some really little addition to the dart-sdk.
- Created some library to write (or help to write) backend in Dart

Then Flutter came out, I switched to it fairly quickly, became freelance to help people built better app. At this time I was promoting Dart/Flutter at conferences as a GDE (like this one with my friend Boris) and wrote articles (like this one)

You will tell me that all of this is around Dart and/or Flutter and you are right but I never stopped looking at the Javascript ecosystem, really like what deno is doing for example. Also a lot of thing are transferable from one tech to another. This website is build with fresh, deno, deno deploy and Tailwindcss (a first for me).

Why me?

I love to try things and I like to improve it if I can, as you can see in my background. I like to learn new tech and I'm all in and this page is the proof: first day with tailwind and it's a pleasure to learn it. (even if I have to admit, it's a fairly simple design)
As I don't have professional experience with Javascript and its ecosystem let see what I can bring to the table.

Tech For Change

At Tech For Change I managed the development of multiple application from nothing to production.
I participate to the production of documentation and specification to successfully obtain the PSAN registration under number E2023-072.

Contractor

Mostly helped company on specific topics based on their need, passing knowledge, helping them speed up feature delivery, setup of CI/CD.
I also trained team in some well known French companies like Boursorama during this period.

Lefty

Build the entire dashboard for client to track engagement of influencers during advertising campaign. Took part of the process to recruit someone and then lead the new person.

And not to forget my envy to always become a better version of myself professionally and personnally.
